I've neer been a good surfer, but it’s my way of feeling alive, grounded, and free.

I started surfing in Costa Rica in 2010, while running a travel agency and creating Olas Para Todos, a project that connected surfing and environmental education for local kids. From there, I chased waves through Central America, Morocco, France, and Portugal, finding friendship and purpose in the ocean.

In 2019, I moved to Portugal, where I worked in creative education and a SurfHouse and kept the ocean close.
Then in 2022, I became a mother, later a single mother, and returned to Switzerland (Ticino). That’s when I stopped surfing… and realized how much I missed it.

I also saw that I wasn’t alone, so many mamas feel the same. We miss that energy, the laughter in the lineup, the feeling of being supported and free in the water.

That’s how Mamas on Waves was born in 2025: to bring together mothers who love the sea, to support each other, and to reconnect with that part of ourselves that comes alive in the ocean.

See you soon!!
